OMG guys!  I pinned this recipe the other day while browsing Pinterest & now I’m so glad I did!  In one word….AMAZEBALLS!!!  This is the best AND easiest crockpot recipe I’ve ever made!  So, if you want to enjoy the first day of the new year & don’t feel like cooking, but still would like to woo your family with a delicious dinner…this recipe is for you!  Great thing is…it’s only 4 ingredients and you may already have them on hand!

Ingredients

  • 4 Chicken Breasts (Thawed)
  •  1 Box of Stove Top Stuffing Mix
  •  1/2 cup of Sour Cream
  • 1 can of Cream of Chicken Soup
  • 1/4 c. water

The first thing you’ll want to do is place all four chicken breasts in the bottom of your crockpot.

IMG_1112Next, you’ll want to open up your box of stuffing mix and just dump it in the crockpot, right over the top of the chicken.

IMG_1113Step 3…mix your cream of chicken soup, 1/2 cup of sour cream & 1/4 cup of water in a bowl and simply dump it over the top!

IMG_1114Now all you have to do is put the lid on that puppy, set it to low and wait for four hours!  Super simple, right?!

Four hours later….

IMG_1119This was so freaking tender & moist!  You could just cut the chicken up with your fork.  Like I said…it was amazeballs!  Try it…you won’t regret it!  It’ll be a hit with the family & it’ll be one of those easy go to meals when you just want to throw something in the crockpot and go about your day without slaving over a hot stove & getting tons of dishes dirty!

Bon Appetit!

  1. I made your crock pot dish and it was good but I think more liquid to this dish would be better. The stuffing turned to a whipped consistency and the dish seemed dry. Overall the taste was good but not a great presentation.

    • Sure, just double or triple up the recipe. If you don’t want to do it in the crock pot, you could do the same thing in the oven. Crockpot just makes it easy and you can leave it cooking for a long time and it makes the chicken super tender.

    • I made in my oven in a 11X15in. cake pan. 6 chicken breast 3 boxes stuffing mix with the water on directions add on top of chicken, lg. can cream od chicken soup. Bake at 350. I cute my breast in half, because their big. I had to cook mine for about 1hr and 40 mins. Next time though, I may add the sour cream.

  2. Hi. Im just learning to cook. I just got divorced and saw this but all i have is a slow cooker is that the same thing ?? Will that work for me. Thank u

  3. I decided to try this today! It is in the crockpot and ready to go. I did make a couple changes. Instead of the water I used chicken broth and replaced the cream of chicken soup with mushroom soup. Wish me luck!! 🙂

  4. I’m trying it out now, Jenn!! The suggestion of adding a little chicken broth sounds good. I’m going to add some. I have a slow cooker, like Mark. I set the temp at low for four hours.

  5. I followed your instructions and ended up with really dry mixture like eating gluck!
So, when you say mix the cream of chicken soup, do you mean mix it with a can of water like normal; then mix that with the sour cream and 1/4 water?

    • Nope, just the 1/4 cup of water and the sour cream. Some people like to use chicken broth instead of water though, but you can adjust the liquid to your liking. I’ve never had an issue with it not coming out awesome. You could always serve it with a little gravy too if you thought it was too dry.

    • Yes, I was home when I did this and I set it on high for the firs hour and then turned it down to low after that. Or you can just set it on low and leave it to cook for an hour or two longer.
